It is a great honor for us to once again go through with Mr. David Landsman as chairman and board member of this important and influential chamber, all that we have done together in 2019, and to focus on the goals ahead for 2020, as a year in which we expect much good and important for the development of mutual economic activities between the two economies, especially in the aspect of increasing mutual economic exchange and increasing the volume of cash flows between the two countries (loans and investments for enterprises).

We aim to support a large number of companies (exports from the Republic of Serbia) in 2020 that will be able to successfully continue to reach new and larger projects through foreign investments (foreign direct investment) through their projects in the Western Balkans (imports to the Republic of Serbia). targets set for 2020.

In the beginning of 2020, Zagreb registry (Land Registry Office) in Zagreb brought our lawyers several outstanding things that we were looking forward to doing together with our clients. Namely, the registry of several larger facilities (city of Zagreb property) in the city of Zagreb, which were done in accordance with the decisions of the competent authorities of the Republic of Croatia (property Croatia) and in accordance with the law of the Republic of Croatia.

At the beginning of this year, the latest Montenegro news present the matter of resolving the old foreign currency savings in the Republic of Serbia, which this time also has to do with the Republic of Montenegro. NM Advokati Regional have been in the Republic of Montenegro for the past week in order to receive certificates on the premises of the most important bank in Montenegro regarding old foreign currency savings for our clients, in accordance with the agreement we reached. Bearing in mind the number of citizens (Montenegro population) and, consequently, the clients that the banks had, we found a large number of claims that needed to be answered legally when it comes to collecting legally valid documentation from the Republic of Montenegro.

The deadlines set by the legislator, the complexity of the existence of multiple legal systems, created the need to prepare the cases (Montenegro attorneys) of old foreign currency savings on time and in accordance with the deadlines, and then to initiate legal proceedings in this field.

The complete operation was perdormed in accordance with the highest standards of business (Podgorica lawyers and Montenegro lawyer’s tariff).

NM Advokati conducted a visa application procedure for schooling in the Republic of France (France lawyer, Paris lawyer). This was a PhD program in the Republic of France of a client who does not hold citizenship of the Republic of France. NM Advokati handled this legal case, from the very beginning until fulfilling all the necessary conditions, together with colleagues from the Republic of France (avocat de Belgrade, avocat Paris).

A client of NM Advokati (Rechtsanwalt für Immobilien), a large domestic company from the Federal Republic of Germany, has ordered and imported (Rechtsanwalt für den import und Export) materials worth several hundred thousand euros (total gross value of over 1 (one) million euros). Through their Deutche Praxis department, NM Advokati have made a bilingual Contract on import (bilingual contracts). On this occasion, our lawyers travelled to Germany in order to make arrangements with the representatives of the exporting company (Unternehmen für den Export) regarding the details and facts on the final text and the terms and conditions of import.

The import of materials was carried out by the departments dealing with transport law (right to transport, transport lawyer) and import (import lawyer), along with companies dealing with transport, import and customs (customs lawyer, customs law lawyer).

Departments of NM Advokati dealing with obtaining permits received all the necessary permits within the deadline and in accordance with the client’s needs (import permit, customs clearance) to assemble and start working on the obtained materials (building permit, certificate of occupation).

NM Advokati  have successfully implemented the procedure for obtaining Croatian citizenship of a client who lives in the territory of a Member State of the European Union and who has Serbian citizenship (Croatian citizenship). The client has submitted the application for Croatian citizenship (applying for citizenship) through the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Belgrade, 82/1 Kneza Miloša Street (see: reconstruction of Kneza Miloša) (Embassy of the Republic of Croatia (Embassy of Croatia), law office for work with embassies).

After the power of attorney (giving the power of attorney to the lawyer), NM Advokati law office took over all operations in accordance with the Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Croatia (legal representation) and thus enabled the client (client), who did not reside in the territory of the Republic of Serbia until the documentation was submitted (representation abroad), to meet the legal requirements and to apply for Croatian citizenship.

The citizenship application itself is processed by the competent bodies of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Croatia in Zagreb (Ministry of Internal Affairs lawyer), which brings the final decision on the fulfillment of the conditions for registration in the register of citizens of the Republic of Croatia. The case is filed with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, at 33 Grada Vukovara Street, Zagreb (citizenship lawyer, Zagreb lawyer).

If amendments are required, they shall be submitted in accordance with the procedure governing the administrative procedure (lawyer in Zagreb), followed by the competent authorities in the Republic of Croatia (Croatia lawyer). Through the Zagreb office and in accordance with the deadline, NM Advokati Regional submitted all required supplements to the documentation for the client, who thus met all the required legal requirements.

The applicable Law on Citizenship of the Republic of Croatia was applied in solving this issue of obtaining citizenship of the Republic of Croatia, while the amendments to the Law will enter into force on January 01, 2020. (Croatian Parliament – Powers).
